We have a new tool to help make banking easier.  This new technology acts as an ATM with the added connection to a real-life teller for greater capabilities.  It's personal banking in a new and exciting way.  You can make deposits, withdrawals, transfers money, make loan payments, and more!

There are two ways you can use this new technology:
 
  1. Use the Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) as a traditional ATM, 24/7, to withdraw cash, transfer funds, check balances and make deposits.
  2. Use the machine in ITM mode to interact with a live, local Bank of Franklin County teller through an interactive two-way video chat.  Our teller will be able to assist you with the following:
    • Withdraw cash, including coins
    • Transfer funds
    • Make cash or check deposits
    • Exchange bills
    • Order checks
    • Make loan payments
    • Get online banking assistance
    • Ask questions about any account
    • And more! 

How is an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) different for an ATM? 

An ITM allows you to have the experience with a live person while in the drive thru, banking at your convenience. It looks and acts much like an ATM until you tap the screen.  Using two-way camera technology, you and the teller will be able to see one another and hear one another via the built-in cameras and speakers.  Want a little more privacy?  Pick up the receiver (available on the lobby ITM only) or use the on-screen messaging to communicate with our teller (available on both drive-up and lobby ITMs).

How do I cash or deposit a check?

 You can cash your check to the exact amount, or make a deposit without the need for a deposit slip or envelope.  Just place your check into the deposit slot when your teller is ready.  An image will appear on the screen, and you can let us know if you want to deposit it or cash it.  A reduced image of the check will also appear on your receipt for your records.

How do I make a cash deposit?

 This works the same way as depositing a check, but you place your cash in the deposit slot when your teller is ready.  The machine will read and count each bill and will display the deposit amount on the screen for verification.  If you have several bills, we recommend adding about 30 at a time.  

How can I pay my loan at the ITM?

 Simply use cash, a check, or make a transfer from your Bank of Franklin County account. 

Is the ITM teller really a live person?

 You bet!  You will recognize some of the friendly faces you've become accustomed to seeing at our drive-up window.  The ITM tellers are able to see and hear you in real time, and respond to your needs accordingly.  

Is my conversation with an ITM private?
Yes, conversations are as private as if you were having them while standing at the teller line in the bank.  If you feel like you need additional privacy in the lobby, a hand-held receiver is attached to the side of the ITM. These machines are also equipped with a chat feature which will allow you to type messages to the teller & vice versa.  The screens have a privacy filter so that anyone around you cannot see the information on the screen.  
For your security and quality control, audio and video of each transaction will be recorded.  

Can I still use the ITM as an ATM during regular business hours?

 Absolutely.  If you prefer to complete an ATM transaction without the assistance of an interactive teller, simply insert your debit card in the machine and follow the steps you would take with a typical ATM.  You do have the option to press the assistance button at any time should you have a question.  

Is there a delay in transactions made at the ITM?

 No, your account will be updated just as timely as it is when you come inside the bank.
